JACOB PHILLIPS
Jacob Phillips joined Wisconsin Football as the Creative Media Producer in June of 2024. He serves as a videographer and editor for social media and assists with video content for recruiting.
Phillips completed his undergraduate degree in the spring of 2024 at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Video Production along with minors in Business Administration and Sales/Marketing. While completing his degree, he spent all four years as the lead student videographer and editor for UW-Stout Athletics, working directly with all 17 varsity sports creating content for social media and in-venue videoboards.
Phillips won the Unspooled Film Festival’s Best Documentary award for both “Road Back to Glory” featuring UW-Stout Women’s Basketball in 2023 and “ARENZ: The Final Quarter” featuring Lauren Arenz in 2024.
Phillips founded JLP Films, an award winning wedding videography company in 2018. He’s had the privilege to work with couples all over Wisconsin & Minnesota to bring their love stories to life. His success over the years led him to win the Best of Weddings & Couple’s Choice Award presented by WeddingWire & The Knot in 2023 & 2024.
In High School, Phillips served as a student videographer for Grantsburg High School Football from 2017-2019, filming games and practices for coaches while creating college recruitment videos for players, including former Badger Football players John and Leo Chenal.
A Grantsburg, Wis., native, Phillips currently lives in the Madison area.
